STCW   STCW, Manning & Certification All seafarers must hold an STCW certification appropriate to their position and function on board. St. Vincent Maritime Administration recognizes all national endorsements issued by the countries listed on the IMO White List and issues an "Endorsement Attesting the Recognition of a Certificate Under the Provisions of the Regulation 1/10 of the STCW 1995" Convention for Masters, deck and engine officers. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL SHIPOWNERS/MANAGERS TO ENSURE THAT SEAFARERS APPLICATIONS*, DULY COMPLETED, ARE SUBMITTED TO THIS ADMINISTRATION PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. The applicant will be issued a “Letter of Confirmation of Receipt” valid for a three-month period enabling him to perform his duties on board the vessel All certificates of competence including GMDSS will be submitted to the issuing authorities for verification and confirmation of their genuineness. The full terms SVG STCW Endorsement is mailed to the applicant upon receipt of the confirmation of the genuineness of his documents from the issuing authorities.
